I started my journey in Computer Science, where curiosity about technology quickly became a passion for understanding how people, processes and data connect. Today, I work at the intersection of business and technology, helping organisations turn complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions.

The Career
Five years. Four industries. One consistent thread.
My first data role came through my elder sister. She had a conversation on my behalf and I got the internship. That is how it started. From there I worked across some of Nigeria’s most recognisable environments.
Oil and gas taught me rigour. Precision there is not a professional courtesy, it is a requirement. Telecoms taught me scale. When your data touches millions of customers across multiple countries you stop thinking about individual records and start thinking about systems. Marketing taught me the audience. Behind every metric is a person making a decision. Global technology taught me standards. Working inside an international organisation showed me what best practice looks like when applied consistently at scale.
Across all of it I prepared reports that reached CIOs and COOs. I automated processes that eliminated months of manual effort. I won a CIO Unique Contributors Award on my last day at one of Nigeria’s biggest organisations.
The Community Work
The Nigerian data professional deserves honest information about their own market.
In 2026 I started showing up consistently on LinkedIn to say the things about data careers in Nigeria that nobody else was saying. The salary context behind the numbers people were posting without explanation. The gap between what courses teach and what jobs actually require. The truth about how analysts really get hired.
Over three thousand people follow that conversation now. And it became clear that the Nigerian data community needed something more than LinkedIn posts. It needed real research. That is how Behind the Numbers and the Nigerian Data Analyst Salary and Career Report 2026 came to exist. The first verified, survey-backed salary and career benchmark for Nigerian data professionals. Built in partnership with K-STEPS Research.
The Personal

I am based in Lagos, Nigeria. I hold a BSc in Computer Science from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Second Class Upper. I also sell shoes on the side because my pastor said to have multiple streams of income and Nigeria confirmed that advice very quickly.
I am building in public and I believe the Nigerian data professional deserves a voice that sounds like someone who has actually done the work. That is what I am here to be.
